THE ROOFTOP SERIES
Since I have several years experience in location designing for children's television shows, I decided to approach this series of painting from the slightly distorted viewpoint of animation design. Using realistic lighting rather than flat colours adds to the illusion of an un-worldly environment. I work the sketches up in Photoshop then transfer the image to canvas and paint them in oils.
